Here is what I did and the problems. The trans is a 85 OG that had TRANSGO installed. I found a 87monte ss valve body installed the PTS shift kit, used GN servo with adjustable pin and bowtie overdrive tv kit for holley carb. The trans was serviced and I ran thru the gears to get the fluid moving. I set the tv cable as per the instructions from bowtie in which the cable seems to short. It pulls all the way to the end and seems like it needs more. I checked for leaks and proceeded for a small test drive in the yard and around the block. Reverse can hardly be felt at all and it takes a few seconds to engage. The first to second gear is feels like craps as does the 2-3. The motor revs and the trans has to be babied to shift and it like a major slip. Any ideas what to do.
I forgot to also state I installed PTS pressure regulatoe and spring. This making me mad:mad: . The crappy OG valvebody and transgo shift kit shifted better even though I thought I use to suck. BRUCE please help!!! Anyone else have ideas please let me know!!! I am on leave and need to get the car back on the road:confused:

Get a pressure gauge on it and take some readings. You may have left something out or messed up the valve body gaskets. Just as a thought, did you remember to put a filter in it?

problems

Yes the filter was installed. The trans was out of the car so I was able to work on the vb very easy. I just found problems with the tv cable hanging up and it is extremly hard to pull so off comes the pan and I am going to install my old tv cable and hardware to see if that fixes the problem. I am also going to either replace my tv valve plunger spring with the old shorter one or remove the spacer from teh new one that came with the bowtie overdrive kit. I HAVE HAD MAJOR PROBLEM!!! This is getting #$&*!@# old.
Hey Bruce any advice. Paul at SETURBO said give him a call and tell him how I like the shift kit and parts, but I think I may call and take the trans up to them becauase something is screwed!!!

no pressure

I just r2 the tv cable and check to make sure it had pressure on it and it does. I went to do pressure check and here is where it went to #$%^!!! No pressure at all in park. I shut it down! I am now going to pull the pan to make sure the boost valves and regulator did not pop out. We did have a problem with the snap ring but we changed it. I pressed on the valves several times to make sure it was seated and the snap ring was not going to pop out. Any other suggestions?

found the problem I hope

I think I found the problem!!! The boost valves and regulator and spring were laying in the pan along with the snap ring. I will fix in the morning when I get up! If this doesnt cure the problem I will let you guys know and will need more ideas
