There is a port on the pass side of the trans where a hose and pressure gauge can be attached. This would help diagnose if the pump is bad. Also if you have the tv adjusted properly.
I hate to have you spending needless money on stuff as I am far from an expert. Though I have broken more than one or two of the 2004r transmissions. I'm just eliminating stuff. The converter spins and could make a swishing sound. Or could be the pump. Pulling a pump isn't hard but there is a selective washer that has to be reinstalled on the back side of the stator support. I use trans gel to "stick it" on there for reinstallation . Pump could have damaged vanes or rings. The pressure relief spring can fail. Just lots of things can go wrong. I reassemble the pump and finger tighten the bolts then insert it in the case upside down to align the pump halves and torque the pump bolts. Pump could have a scored cavity or broken slide spring .
