Well i was planning on putting a very small shot on my 85 GN. I have a plate kit and can use that bottle so i was thinking just some line, solenoid, and nozzle for a small dry kit.
I am assuming you mean you have a kit wit either a throttle body spacer plater, or a carburetor spacer plate. If the spacer plate matches the Buick throttle body, use the plate. From the tone of your post, I am going to guess that your spacer plate is from some other application and the only portion of the kit you'll be using is the bottle.
That's a lot of guessing, so post back and clarify a couple things for us.
What kind of solenoid should i look at for a 25-50 shot?
Any nitrous solenoid should work. The cheapest ones you'll find are the Holley power shot solenoids. I have some I got from E-bay for ~$30. Some people have had problems with the cheaper solenoids sticking open or closed. If you have some extra room in the budget, NX solenoids have a lifetime rebuild warranty on them, but will be more expensive.
is it ok to spray into the CAI tube on a hot-air?
You typically don't want to be more than 12 inches from the throttle body. I've seen people go further away to soften the hit some, but I don't think that's necessary with a dry shot, especially one as small as you are considering.
Whats a safe rpm to start spraying on these motors? Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Dale
Above 2800 or so is pretty safe. You can go lower, but if this is your first foray into the world of spray, stick with what you know will be safe.
Post back and let us know how it turned out.
