I'm having problems with my electronic boost controller, so I am putting on my manual controller that was on the car when I got it. My question is does any one know why there is a hose coupling that bleeds air (has a little hole) , and if it goes on the actuator side or the turbo side? Thanks

I THINK it goes on the wastegate side to bleed pressure so the wastegate can close.

I just need to know if anyone knows what the coupling does that bleeds air seperate from the boost controller itself. Thanks

If you have a MBC with two barbs and one has a small hole, I would put the one with the hole on the side of the wastegate. If the wastegate side doesn't have a way to bleed off pressure then the wastegate will stay open even when the boost goes away because it would then just be a check valve.

If you have three barbs then I don't know. Maybe set up for an in car bleeder.

Oh o.k. Thanks for clarifying. That makes sense. When I took it off about a year ago I left the fitting on that side of the boost controller so I would remember which side it went on, so I did have it right I just didn't understand what it was doing. Thank you.
