Sorry guys but I gotta bug you one more time this weekend. Are the Haynes books on these cars any good or do you have a better recommendation for a repair manual?

Haynes suck.

You need a GM shop manual published by www.helm.com . The '83 book is a huge, loose-leaf, two volume manual. It might be better to buy a used '82 manual off ebay. They are much smaller and little changed from '82 to '83.
