Saturday I called Mike (Nordy Racer) and asked if he wanted to volunteer to supervise the installation of my PSM (Performance Systems Manufacturing) AKA (Pete Tomka) cold air system. Mike asked what all did I have to install on the car and I told him that I also had a new ignition module, coil pack, & Russ Merritt spark plug wires that I would like to install, but I would be happy if I could get the cold air package installed, or the other stuff, as I figured that we would never have time to get it all. Mike told me to grab everything and head for his house. I threw everything in the trunk and headed to mike's house. Mike was working on his car, but when I arrived at his house, he dropped working on his car to help me on mine. I was not exactly the epitome of energy that day as I had just come down with the flu or a cold, and was barely alive. Mike ended up installing the ignition module, coil pack, and I helped on the spark plug wires. Mike called Kevin who came over and between the two of them, they pretty much installed the cold air package while I watched, being sick.
It's true turbo Buick people like this who make me glad to be a part of the turbo Buick community. I can't say enough good about Mike & Kevin, who did virtually all of the work on my car without complaining realizing that I was not feeling well and was just not with the program, or was too sick to help much that day. Neither would take any money in exchange for their services.
Over the years many people have helped me with my car with either parts, work, or advice and I wanted everybody to know that I really appreciate it.
So now the car has the cold air package, new ignition module, new coil pack, & new Russ Merritt spark plug wires installed, and the car starts a little easier, the BL's are now somewhat closer to where they should be, it runs a little smoother, and is definitely stronger.
I see a brand new John Craig Limit Eng.TA-60 turbo in the near future. Thanks again to everybody who has helped me over the years, but especially to Mike & Kevin. My car thanks you guys too. Can't wait now to buy more stuff.
