MAT sensor installation

Upgraded to the 87 style ecm and purchased a mat sensor and installation kit from cottons, and was wondering what is the best place to attach the mat sensor and run the wiring. I have it wired up to the ecm but dont really know where to go from there.

I ran mine out into the engine compartment to the K&N in my big mouth intake. I just drilled a hole in the end and epoxied it in.

where do the ecm wires go from the wire grommet? Could I direct the wire from underneith the car or should i bring it the same route as the plastic lines that come up from benieth the heating core?
