A brief summary is in order. When I was a deputy I was curious why the county judge would disappear every Friday for a few hours. I learned he was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program and I wanted to get involved but my sheriff shot that idea down in seconds yet I do not know why.

I registered to be a volunteer for my local area and watched a few video's just for general info and I was not impressed with the food our elders are served. I saw nothing but frozen processed crap. Processed food is more expensive and less nutritious than say a meal of home cooking. I think/believe that concentrating on my immediate area would be the best. I am just looking for some insight and advice.

The urge and need too give back is overwhelming, thoughts?

I'm glad there are people out there like you, I feel ashamed at my selfishness...
