Metanol & rubber hose

Putting in a METHanol injection kit...
I was wondering if i can run a rubber fuel line as a feed from the tank to the pump.
The way I see it, braided line is rubber on the inside.
There's no pressure on the hose, it's just the feed line.

Methanol will kill a rubber hose by making it dry out and get "harder than the back of Superman's head"!!
It will also erode aluminum fittings and remove the anodized color from them....BTDT

Hasn't been my experience. I've been running methanol and water for about 6 months and all my hoses are rubber. No problems. Cheap enough to replace every so often if you should develop problems. Haven't heard of any.

System had been designed for Methanol from the ground up.
special pump, fittings, tank etc... (SMC based)

I was just wondering since braided line is rubber on the inside (do they use "special" rubber?) and there was no pressure on the feed line I didn't personally see a problem with it but thought I'd inquire...
I don't mind changing them a few times a year, I just don't want the rubber to breakdown and start plugging things up.

All rubber is not created the same.

There is special rubber braided hoses for this purpose..that you only have to buy but once

if you have a parker hose & fittings distributor in your area you can use the "836" line blue pushlok hose with methanol.it has a "pkr" inner tube and is good for 300 psi @ 300º.

not cheap,but not as expensive as braided either.

THAT MUST BE THE KIND I GOT.......EXCEPT WITHOUT THE BRAID. I GOT IT AT AUTOZONE FOR $.75 A FOOT, AND THEY CALLED IT FUEL LINE.
