Methanol is it all the same?

I see VP has it and there are the petroleum sources just wondered if there were different grades or its "all the same"?

All the same. M1 is the part number for VP. Buy a 5 gallon pail.

Just called my VP delaer here and he wants $142.00 for 55 gal. He said it has come down some. I would suppose 55 gal should last me a while, Not sure if I want it in my garage though but should be fine with the cap on it in there.

Is this a good price?

Yeah that is a good deal. I pay $5 a gallon here.
