Just installed some 295-50r16 Mickey Thompson's yesterday. They are 27.7"tall, and 11.5" wide. Seems lime they fit pretty well, but I only have about 1/4" clearance on the lower inside. Might have to massage it a little. Hoping to pick up a few mph in the 1/4 with the taller tire without my 60' suffering too much. I'll post up some pictures later.

Side by side.

Cool man. I plan on running these too in the very near future on my stock rims. Can you take a couple pictures with them on your car? Thx.

is this on a 16x8 gta?

Yes, I'm pretty positive he is using the stock GTA wheels. Others have done this set up with good results on the TT/A's, due to the extra space in the wheel wells. GN's have had trouble running this set up, unless the wheels were widened and the off set or B/S was adjusted.

i have been giving this some thought when i saw that the second version came out. it looks really good but like you said it would be hard to run the setup without at the very least a spacer

I just ordered my tires too. Should be here tomorrow, just in time for the drag strip outing this coming Friday. ;)

Are you running airbags? Or 3" wheel studs or anything?

Yeah, these tires and GTA rims would look awesome on Buick's. Worst case you could do a mini frame notch. This could also benefit you in the future to run an even bigger tire out back. I think you could easily get away with a spacer. But, you may have to row your outer fender.

I have a 9" rear with 1/2" studs. No air bags, and stock springs and shocks. Everything else is aftermarket.

If your rear end is off center you might need an adjustable panhard bar.

I'm going to drive it tonight, and see if it rubs. I'm sure it will a little, because there's rub marks inside the wheel well from the 255's...

Drop a string with a weight down from the center of the quarter panel above the wheel, and measure the distance. Do this on both sides. Most likely it is off center.

Hopefully it won't rub much man. I'm also running M/T 255/50/16 drag radials. No rubbing. Might be a different story with the new tires tho.

Ok, I'll try it. Worst case, I'll just order another pan hard bar from Founders. They're cheap and very good quality. Shipping is super fast too!
