Mini Starter

Have a brand new CVR mini starter for a small block chevy sitting on my shelf. Will this fit the 3.8? Local parts shop thinks so and CVR tech says it should, but they don't sound real sure of their answers. Hoping someone out there has experience with this. If it doesn't fit, is the LTI starter the best alternative? Thanks in advance for your help.

As long as the starter will work with a 153 tooth flexplate you should be good to go. The mounting holes will be straight across, not staggered.
