Maybe a dumb question but as anyone checked into what the cost would be to buy a new set and ship them from Australia?

from my understanding they dont make the wheels at all anymore.....

I just sent them an e-mail requesting info on a set for our cars.
I specified 17x8 - 4" BS for front and 17x10 - 4.75" BS for rear. If I remember right, the hub diameter is 1.25" Please correct me if I'm wrong. This should at least get them started with quoting a price. I tried to convey how desirable these wheels are for the Turbo Buick community. I hope I get some information back from them. I will definitely post up if / when I get a response. Keep you guys posted.

That was quick. I sent an email to the australian company (tempe tyres) and their turnaround time is only about 2 weeks. Pricing for 17 x 8's is $800 each. Pricing for 17 x 10's is $860. Both prices are delivered to USA - presumably texas since that's where i'm located.

I have asked if pricing was US$ or AUS$, but I don't think there's much of a difference any more. **Edit - prices are in AUS$ ** I'll suggest to them that they hook up with some wheel distributors in the US as these are highly sought after in the TB community.

Feel free to shoot them an e-mail. I just went to their website and hit the "contact us" button. They were back to me reasonably quickly considering a 12-hour time difference. I'll post findings in the brakes, wheels, suspensuon forum also for future reference.

G Nasty, what is the status on the Simmons? They sell or can I still get them.
