Moderator Help Please

I opened turbobuick.com last night and had a new type of message from somebody. It was called a "Visitor Private Message" or something like that.

I didn't respond immediately and opened my PM's.

Now I cannot find the "Visitor" message.

Can you help me find and respond to this "Visitor" message??

its on your public profile page. if you click on your name, it should go to the public profile page. at least, thats what i'm seeing....?

It could have been a private message or a public message.

Look at the top right corner under your user name on this screen. You should see under where it says "You last visited:--------- something that says Your Notifications that is underlined click that and a little drop down menu should appear and show you what you have!

thats one of the quirks of the boards i've been on and this one....

Visitor message is different than private message, and is not viewable strictly from the PM inbox, the fact he said he couldnt find the visitor message in his private message box indicates likely that it was posted to his public profile page as a visitor message, not necessarily a private message but a way to send messages...confusing yes. useful, sometimes. other boards i've been on have a similar way of notifications....it will tel you that someone posted a message, on either the private message or the profile page, but it doesn't necessarily tell you where exactly it is....if you're unaware of the location of the visitor message.

Thanks guys...after I sent my help request I was stumbling around trying to find it, and did by clicking on my name as you both suggested. Found it and answered...I think I answered that is.

OH, for some reason the feature DOES NOT work from the home page. You have to be on the forum pages... This should be fixed with the upgrade coming soon...

Makes me feel less of a total moron for not being able to refind the message Regarding website navigation I know I'm still in the moron range...just not "total"
