Hi guys. Since the intercooled GN's came out and I was 15 years old, Ive wanted a GN, and will likely soon be picking one up. I was an engine builder for 7 years and have been building cars since I was a kid, but most of my current expertise is with modern FI fords and old carbed hot rods. Theres alot to be found on here through the search feature, but finding simple answers is tedious.
Can you guys give me known hp gains for given mods, like,
LT1 MAF and translator-10rwhp
Alky injection + X degrees added timing- 30rwhp, on and on......

Thanks in advance

Here is a good place to start

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/recipes/recipe.html

Some mods depend on what other mods the car has.

Say adding the LS2 MAF, probably won't make much difference if the car is stock. If the car has a bigger turbo, DP, cat back exhaust, etc, then it should add some HP.

About the same for a chip on stock vs other mods.

The recipe section on gnttype.org is probably the best place to start. There are so many variables as far as what mod will give what results. The first mods usually to make are:(in whatever order)
3" downpipe (Houston or ATR)
dual exhaust with either test pipe or hi-flow convertor (ATR or Hooker)
High-volume fuel pump with hot wire
Open element air filter (K&N)

On average this will give you roughly 20-25% more power with a lot stronger midrange.

Check UNGN's timeslip page. He has a good history of ET when he made changes.
I would say that alky is the best bang for ever day driving..
If 1 lb of boost = 10hp and if stock you are at 240 and you go 10psi over you would be at 340. I doubt if it is that much gain but I bet it is close.
