Ok guys what cams out there generally or do produce monster low end torque. Before some say converter and stall and tune need to be matched, lets say they are.

What cam profiles produce the most lowend power up till about 5500. Special grind, off shelf, etc. Lets keep it in the daily driving mainframe, you know good idle, closer to good gas mileage than bad, emissions (give or take)

The stock cam is about as good as you will find for low end torque. The milder after market cams for the turbo Buicks are ALL torque cams. Because the engine is NOT a high rpm engine, and because of the conditions inherent in turbocharging, there aren't a lot of choices in the cam. The engine doesn't really start to build torque until it is well into boost, and that won't happen until 2500 rpm or more. There are things you can do to make it spool quicker, like using a boost control, and some chips give more low end than others.

Ormand thankyou for the response. Im still searching on the board threads and looking for feedback, maybe even numbers as to how these cams perform down low or how the grind affects how the cam behaves, with heads that flow or stock heads.

The ticking noise coming from the engine, is sounding very lifterish. The sound is universal and centers from the intake manifold. I will be pulling the intake soon to confirm.

torque cams

Our 206/206 cam has low end like a factory cam but comes on hard in the mid range. This would be the cam I would recommend for you with stock or ported heads. But just as all the knowledgeable guys have mentioned, turbo selection is important and needs to match the rest of your combination or it could be a slug.
