Monte SS instrument cluster in Turbo Regal?

Anyone tried putting an 85-88 Monte Carlo SS instrument cluster in a 86-87 Turbo Regal dash? The Monte has all analog gauges: speedo, tach, battery, fuel, oil pressure, and water temp (doesn't have boost, but the factory Regal one is junk anyway). At a minimum it would take some splicing of wires and some additional sensors, but is probably cheaper than sticking a GNX style dash kit in.

I would imagine it would work if you changed everything on the I/P side of connector 100. Grab the factory shop manuals for both cars and compare electrical connector cavaites. Sounds like to much of a hassle to me but thats my opinion. Dont forget the Monte tach is set up for V-8 not a V-6. The front of I/P is a different shape and bolt pattern to so to make it look nice you would also have to replace to pad too.
