This motor is in a 1973 Chevy LUV Pro street, you know, big 31x18.5x15 tires, narrowed 9", roll cage. I had a complete set of Program Eng. billet main caps, linebored for .015 clearance, full groove mains, Kenne Bell hv oil pump and booster plate. The cam, hyd. flat tappet, red line is 6000, I shift @ 5600. I went with the 700R4 built bu GER Transmitiond on the east coast, They say 750Ft torque ok, and + the first gear really rips, my best 60ft is 1.68.
Ihave seen turbo cars running in the 10'S with lots of stock stuff, and they weigh quite a bit more than I do. It should hold together, just no detonation, and a little fat on the top end.
Also, how much boost can I run with Felpro # 1026 head gaskets.
I know that this is not a GN, but the motor is all BIG BLACK BUICK BABY!!!!!
