More TA-49 questions?

What CFM does a stock turbo do? What makes a TA-49 different from a stock turbo? Bigger impeller, larger housing, bigger waste gate, etc.? What would it take to convert a stock turbo to a TA-49? Thanks in advance!

its a stock turbo cut out with biger wheels on both ends..

very good turbo for street use.

most have pte exaust housings too.

TA49 vs. stock

As Red said, both housings are machined different, both wheels are different and even the inlet bell will need to be opened.
