a buddy of mine gave me 1/2 gallon of this stuff that he used on his small block and figured it wouldn't hurt to take it. I'm in the process of building a LC2 and plan on taking it is far as it can go and was wondering how the fellow buick guys feel about this stuff (going to ask my machine shop)

-Moroso claims it dampens harmonics, supports thin cylinder walls
-says it's high strength, high density, non shrink, non ferrous

just incase anyone wants to know ---- PN# 35571

haven't started yet but very very close, waiting on getting the eagle crank and some rods (he found a guy that can make them for the LC2's) and a little more research. You might have heard of these guys, HBR competition engines they came from florida(don't know what part)

Rick left here for many reasons. I would find another engine guy.
I would not let Rick touch a lawn mower engine. HBR stands for Heads By Rick, his name is Rick Rapp. Run don't walk away. Find a known Buick builder in your area. And don't let him touch your heads. I have fixed so many of his engines its not funny. He was local here for many years. Sorry to give you bad news but find another guy to do your work.

well DAMN!:( The closes buick guy to me is Nick I think. Thanks for the heads up thow :) He said he knows a guy that can make us H beam full floater rods for these buicks:confused: he called him right in front of me? your opinion on that would be good, The guys name is Don that can do this but can't tell you the name of the place cause of bad hand writing. the # is 1-619-422-5384 and said to send him a rod and it would take about 7 weeks to make or get? I didn't get a price yet.

thanks again for the heads up, Danny

That is Don at Pauter. They make a nice rod but I would not go that route. Just stay far away from Rick. There are many good Buick guys close to where you are. Email me so we can talk.

Oh, I do plan on taking the car out on very little trips but mainly a drag car. I know you got to fill up the coolant passages and it may/will make the car run hotter depending on how much you use.

Here is how block filler was explained to me. Mind you, I've never owned a filled block, so I can't verify.

Motor with no filler - Has street car potential

Motor 1/2 filled = No street car, but makes it back through the pits after a run under it's own power without heat concerns

Motor fully filled = Car is ofter towed back through the pits to avoid overheating the motor

Again, never owned one, this is just what I've been told.
