Most boost run with stock turbo?

Tim not sure if it makes a difference but the car has a reground cam and slightly better TTA heads.

I know it has seen as much as 29psi.

Anything over 21-22 lbs is creating too much hot air to get a gain. On the other hand, with good gas or alky, you can set the turbo at 22lbs and crank the timing up.

Thats WAAY to much boost for stock turbo and good heads. With free flowing heads 18-20 psi should be about equal to 22-23 with stock, unmodded heads.
I run 22-23 stock heads and stock IC.

23 lbs seems to be the sweet spot for my stock setup.
More than that had had no positive effect in my case.

most people when racing with the stock turbo try and over come it's limitations with more timing than you would run with an aftermarker turbo.
This is with race gas of course.

I have run a stock turbo with stock unopened motor and 009 inj's/duttweiler frt mount etc at 30 psi..........lots of fun on the street!
Pulls like mad on bottom end but gives up on the big end.

I run 22# with stock intercooler and alky inj.. Pulls like a bastard!
