Has anyone tried the Mothers Foam Polishing ball that you attach to a battery powered drill? I have Weld ProStars on my Buick and I am interested in hearing about how this thing works. They are $18 and the polish is another $8, but if it works well, it is worth it to me. My Welds could use a good polish but I never seem to get them looking good enough by hand.

Well, I ended up buying this product and it really does work. My Welds have never looked so good. I'd recommend a really good and powerful drill to keep the ball running strong, though.

i use mine on my wheels and valve covers, intake, pulleys,

dam near anything i can get it on

True dat! Much easier than moving a rim around on a 3HP baldor...

I bought one too a couple of months ago and this is indeed the hot ticket in cleaning my polished T wheels. It also does a great job on chrome of any kind as to larger pieces if you have chrome bumpers, etc. I will say that I gave mine such a workout that the shank came apart. I eventually had to take some blue locktight and really tighten that on good. Well worth the $20 or so!

Is the ball pretty durable? I'm thinking about picking one up, but don't want it to fall apart after a few good uses..

... It's not that durable. I'm guessing about 5 times on all fours at a normal aggression before I'd buy another.
