Going to rebuild a friends 87 gn and he started taking it apart i was there for some of the stuff but not this. He took the pistons out and didn't mark them where they came out and the rod caps he mixed up now want the hell am i supossed to do? When i rebuilt mine i took every thing out the way it was in there mark the caps 1 threw 6 and so on. He did number the push rods like i said. Is there a problem or what? I would think so.

I havn't looked at the bores but he said they look great so i was just going to reuse the stock pistons and rebuild the thing for him but now i am kinda worried about it.

What sould i DO

Thanks Sean

Wow! Get a magnifying glass and start inspecting! You may be able to see some grain mark on the sides of the rods that match up as well as parting lines in the caps. If you can't be 100% sure and I would probably anyways, just get some ARP's and have them reconditioned. Just my .002

Yeah Jesse that the only choice i have i guess. Its just going to cost him more cash now. Thanks for the reply Sean
