ive had a translator and 3" MAF on my cr for about o month now, but one thing bothers me. I have a 3" maf pipe and a K&N cone filter on the other side of the MAF. It seems like it just dangles there and it moves around a bit. does anyone make anything to mount these or has anyone made a custom mounting bracket? what do you guys do with yours?

If you try to mount it solidly, then that puts alot of vibration into it. All the later MAFs (GM) that I've seen have them mounted between two sections of rubber tubing, and I'd venture a guess that's to isolate them from vibration.

Yeah, that might get kind of tricky. I was more concerned about a large scale jerk or slam of the pipe on a bump, with any excessive freedom of movement, which is why I put the bungee cord on.

My MAF is sanwiched between two neoprene like connectors, somewhat dampening any harsh vibration that might cause problems...which I've never had.

thaks for the input guys, i think ill try what Terbro did, just to keep it from hitting anything hard. Makes sense to keep it from vibration....thanks guys

this is how i have mine for 4 years now.
