hey guys i was trying to tide up some wiring under the hood and over by the blowe motor for the heater. i took them off and re routed them and all. i plugged them all back in and now i have no heat. the one thing that i think iw wrong is there is a vaccum hose going ot the blower motor that popped off and i thoght something went flying. i wedged the hose back into it and trued again and no heat. is there a fuse under the dash for the heater i may have blown that. it was working fine last night i just had to mess around wit the wires and now im screwed. let me know waht to look for or send me a pic of the blower motor so i can look at the wiring and all, thanks alot guys its getting cold here soon.

TTT....fuse taht said
AC in the fuse box was not blown.......wehre exactly is teh ground??

ok new update. i took a circuit tester light and treid all the wires. this is with the ignition key on and the heater on. the first packet of wires right no top of the blower motor with the key on the brown, tan, dark and light blue wires all light up. then the second packet of wires to the right and donw a little, the red and dark blue light up but the orange and purple do not?? where do i go from here i need heat fast!!! thanks guys

even better update i took the purple wire off of the top of the blower motor and ran a wire fro mteh battery to that post and the motor spun nice and fast. is the relay my problem if so what do i ask for at the store for this thing? thanks

If you have an '86 wiring harness look for the fan power connector near the power antenna wiring in the back fender area.

Should be a square type connector with a fat red wire in it that corrodes at that point.

It will kill the fan.

Clean up the wiring or cut it on each side of the connector and solder splice it together.

Sometimes it's tucked down into the fenderwell area behind all the relays and left of the fan motor.

if i have power in the red wire going into the connector haning off the AC box but not the purple wire coming from it woultn that mean the red wire is fine??

Try tapping on the blower motor relay. Silver metal relay and bracket near the blower motor.

Key on, fan on of course.

On High position fan gets power from the red wire through a second set of contacts in that relay.

I'd check the resistors themselves and follow the purple wire inside the housing.
