im also curious as why especially without alky, the atr liquid intercooler can handle a lot of power

I really like the ATR intercooler, but there just isn't any room for it unless I move it to a new location and weld up piping for it. On top of the the inlet side of the intercooler is only 2" which would be bottleneck airflow.

Why not just have your ATR intercooler modded with a larger inlet? I have a A2W on my GN in the stock intercooler location and the numbers are almost ideintical to the PTE front mount I had on the car before the A2W. I have run a front mount for years and I don't have a problem with them but I really just got tired of looking at in the grill. I thought it was cool in the 90's when no one had a front mount but now that every Honda and Neon has one I was ready for change.

The ATR intercooler placement interferes with the turbo placement. When both parts are installed on the vehicle the inlet for the intercooler sits inside the outlet for the compressor. If i fabbed up a 3" inlet for the intercooler, the only way it could work would be to move the intercooler to another location in the engine bay. I should have taken pictures :(

That turbo is turning into an expensive Combo change, what kind of et and mph goals do you have?

I don't mind spending the money on the car. I'd be happy with 10.20s for now but would like to see closer 10.00s when I get it 100% dialed in.

your going to have to modify the things you have or buy a new intercooler.i suggest doing some research on 10.0 combo's

For the most part, I understand the give and take of building a racecar. It's a process. By no means am I under the impression that I am going to bolt on parts and run a 10.00ET. I've been looking into a few builds that I admire and talking to a few friends I have made, one of which just just completed drag week in her Buick! Everyone has been very helpful and I think a 10.00 will be possible, but I dont want to assume that more expensive equals better 100% of the time.
