Well, after spending our entire lives in Illinois the wife and I and
the two dogs are packing our things and moving to Wisconsin.
We found a nice ranch home in a suburb of Milwaukee and I've
got a new job lined up at a nice dealership.
I can't believe it's time to leave already, I'm exited but kinda
nervous about what lies ahead. New house, new neighbors,
new job, new friends ect... I've never done this before.

One good thing is, I'll be only 20 minutes from the local
dragstrip vs. 1 hour drive right now:D
Hopefully I can hook up with some of you local Buick guys
and do some cruise nights or Union Grove or something.

How many Turbo Buick guys do we have around there and
where do you like to hang out?

Mike

Bring that thing to the next RSD on the 21st. I live near Great America, not that far from the track.

Lake Zurik is like Wisconsin,,Well at least as far:D :D
Enjoy your new home

Theres a few of us around.

Here's a local Board , mostly F-bodys but there a few TR people there.

thats cool, i have often wanted to go up there, to see what its like... my dad was born up there, i think he was born in beaver dam... but i am not certian, he lived in one of those small towns were everyone knew everyones name...

and he had a '59 el camino

A few years back i meet a girl in a bar who said she was from Wisconsin , to which i replied " Ohh isnt that the cheese state " she looked pretty pissed . Hey i like cheese :p

I moved from IL (Quad Cities) approaching a year now and finally nerves are setteling now. I had to start all over again after being layed-off and moving down here. The best decision I have ever made in my life. Got to meet a few board members at the best track around (15 min away) and everything is going great.

Wisconson is a very cool state. I used to visit every year at the Jefferson swap meet;) Bought a few cars there too.

Good Luck!

Bo

Thanks guys...:)

I think we'll be glad that we made the move, I've always enjoyed
my time spent in Wisconsin. Beautiful landscape, friendly people
and lots of fun stuff to do. Lake Zurich has grown from a small
quiet town to a very busy congested area in the last 10 years,
It's time to go...
Thanks GRNDNL, I'll be signing up on Brew City Muscle and
joining you guys at the shows.
Right now the Buick is my daily driver and I'd be SOL without it,
so I won't be doing any racing until the fall, when I get a second
vehicle.
Thanks for the replies...
Mike
