I have on in my GN and it seems to be OK so far as far as running at idle for long periods of time.

I was told its about the max MSD ignition you can use on the street.I can't say much more about street use as mine will probably not see the street much if at all.

I will say it works great at the track, now if I can just get this tight converter taken care of the car will actually run like it should....

I think it can work, you just need to use it with a coil that won't burn up with continued use.
Are you talking about driving to a car show or driving out to California to see my family?

I still like the 7AL-2, they have been very reliable for me. I've been driving the same unit in a big block Dodge all over on the street for 12 years. It's just the coil selection that's critical, only use the Pro tower for race use, use a street coil for daily driving. I also have one in a race GN but don't street drive the car.

I would need a tanker truck behind me even with the gv its not fuel friendly, probalby since it weighs too much. I think i am going to go with a digital 7 as i think its more street friendly. I just have to drive about 30 minutes to the dyno i think it will hold out... thanks everyone for there input.
