Is there a rebuild kit for this distributor? I have a MSD distributor that needs a spring replaced. When I grab the cam gear and the rotor and turn it, it should be solid with no play in it. Well under the rotor there are 2 very small springs at each end. One seems to have snapped, and gives tons of play when holding both the rotor and the cam gear. Where can I get this small spring from? Anyone have one I can buy? or a link to get a new one?

Thanks in advance.

Mike, if the springs you describe are used for the advance mechanism I probably have one or 2?

My advance cam has been welded in place as I do not want it to move which means all I need to do is find the springs!

Awesome!! I was wondering if I could just weld that up too and be done with it. Looks like I will follow your lead with that Nick and just tack it together and ditch the springs. Thanks.

You don't want it to move. It needs to be locked out. Take the springs off. There will be A little like stud that sticks down on the bottom pull up on the shaft past the stud and turn it and it will line up with A hole In the plate that under the shaft drop in the hole and put the little nut on it and it will be lock out.

Thanks Chris, that's exactly what we did. Took the pin out of the cam ear, took the bolt off from under the rotor, lifted the shaft up. Turned it, put it in the lock out hole and tightened it up and put it back together again. All is good now.
