MT DR vs BFG DR

I have been running MT 255-60X15 They are 2 years old and just don't hook like they were new. In Hawaii shipping just kills us,but Costco has the 275-50X15 BFG DR free mounting and balance no shipping that's $100.00+ savings. Yes ?Or suck it up and spend the $100.00 Target ET 11.90 Im there if I fix my 60

I would think you would be ok, how hard do you 60 foot the car?

Last year before I turned up the boost 1.7 60 ET 12.5-12.9, boost at 23*60 went to 2.2-2.7 ET 12.3 -12.7

The M/T will be faster any day, on any track. No comparison.

I would think the M/T would be a better choice if you are trying to get every last ounce of traction / performance out of your car.

IMO you have something else wrong, not the tires. Only running 12.7 with your combo is no where near the combo's performance potential. Maybe you are too rich coming off the line. Do you have a scan tool? MT's are far better hooking than BFG.

It is not right yet for sure,and I was creeping up on it slowly started at 17* boost and 2.2 60 13.4 ,best ET at 17* 1.7 60 12.5 106mph . Got the ALKY and turned it up to 23*. On the foot brake at 5* like before know I let go of the brake and stab it she blows the tires off. Even walking it out at 0 boost I cant get her to go 2.2 60 12.3 107 mph (NO traction)1/8 mile ET's and mph no change.Hoping 275 BFG would give me more traction than 255 MT for less $

What amount of air pressure are you running in your drag radials? Do you have drag bags in the rear or any other suspension changes?

Starting PSI 18lb been up and down 1lb at a time best consistent 60ft at the end of last year 6 passes 1.72-1.76 @ 20lb tire pressure, leaving the light at 5lb boost.This year only change ALKY and 5 more lb boost ,10 passes best 60 1.8 (2) 8 passes 1.9-2.2 and 3.0 Called Mickey T they said tire is too old.27 months old.Suspension mods are UMI uppers and lowers GNX trunk brace KYB's No bags ,car has always left straight.even removed the front sway bar this year aired down to 12lb no help.This is way I'm looking at tires.

Agreed I built a car for a guy would Spin the BFG's off at 30 mph switched to the MT's and it doesnt spin at all at 30 now.
