Last sunday My GF and I were going in to town for something and we decited to take the Buick. After a few miles we were on a nice 4 lane and up ahead I see this gray 03 or 04 gt 5 speed.. I can hear that it had some exhaust work but I dont know the car or anything. Sounded nice as I came up behind it at around 40 or so. Sure enough as I got 1/2 a car ahead of him he gooses it a bit. A stop light was just a head so I gave it just enough to let him know I was intrested. At the light he reved a lil bit and I just sat there. My GF had never been in the car when I had A fish on the line. She looked at me and said He wants to go... Are you goi..... Light turns green and I roll in to the throttle. Off the line he started falling back . Every shift just made the gap bigger. Once at around 65 or so I let out. He was about 5 cars back. He sounded like he was giving it hell off the line. Just not enough for the lil v6 Buick. . He never came up along side after that. I was going to give him another chance to show me what that 8 year newer mustang could do. It just wasnt in the card I guess.. Thanks Buick... God Love Those guys...

What is it with mustangs turning off after getting spanked? I've seen it many times too. Kinda puzzling. Where do they go? What are they doing?

*Pulling over to call their therapist?
*Overnighting $3000.00 of parts from Japan?
*Crawling under their car to see if the parking brake is stuck on?
*Heading for the nearest cliff?
*Heading for the nearest trade in dealer that sells Monte Carlos.
*Or, maybe they just nead to go to their "Happy Place"?

My guess is that, as long as we keep driving Turbo Buicks, we'll never know the answer to this mysterious question...

I told this story before but I was once following a blue 03/04 Cobra who was doing his best to intimidate Malibu and Camry drivers by revving at them and weaving in and out of traffic around them. Not akin to bullies, I decided to use his own medicine on him and whipped past him with some turbo and wastegate noise in his ear. He literally jumped in his seat and his neck snapped left towards my car. He then slammed on his brakes and turned into Walgreens. Very strange. He had the courage to pick on late model family sedans but not enough to go toe to toe with a 22 year old V6 Buick..
