I have been working on restoring car for 1 year, 2 months & Its almost done all I have left to do is to start it up, break in the cam and get a 4 wheel alignment. I bought the car in NY in January of 03’. It’s an 86 T-Type, code 58 Light sandstone metallic paint, black out trim. Options: power locks, power windows, electronic climate control, power antenna, power trunk release, no cruise control, 55/45 power split bench seat, map reading lamps, posi rear. I bought the car mainly because odd color and options. When I purchased the restoration was already started. The car had just recently had a fresh $3000.00 paint job, and a newly rebuilt motor assembled which was 109 SG1 Factory replacement block, w/reconditioned heads. The engine was un-installed when I bought the car. The interior was already removed and just thrown back into the car when the owner bailed on the project. I purchased the car towed the car home to my shop and have since disassembled the car completely. I have replaced or refinished just about everything piece & part on the car body off the frame, etc… in a little over a year, What do you guys think?

Just want to say thanks again to my partners at Buick Turbo Performance - Jim Dunn, Buddy Bingaman. I would also like to thank Bob & Jim Barnes for all there help, its been greatly appreciated!

And a special thanks to BWEAVY. His willingness to find all the misc nuts/bolts/etc... I was missing, helped me emensly. With out his help I would proably still have a pile of parts...........Thanks Again

SWEET!. Your hard work really shows, she is beautifull. Eventually I plan on doing the same thing to mine after I get my setup dialed in. Brian is widening my rims right now to 10". Can't wait.

LOOKS AWESOME,,but what's up with the color of the fillers,,or is that from photos takinn at an angle

Beautiful T-type

I am very proud of the fine restoration you have done to your buick. I love these cars and hope to see more of them restored and revived, not scrapped and crushed. BRING BACK ALL BUICK GN'S, T-TYPES AND GNX'S.

Job well done

Yea the fillers are a slightly different color, we took a pic of the old fillers so the paint would match but something did't go right when we mixed the paint. Its hard to match up that Gold paint. I am going to repaint them to match, eventually. I just want to drive/enjoy the car for a while, I will repaint them because they will drive me nuts over time!

"Sweet car! What did you paint your gas tank with?"

I painted the gas tank with eastwoods Tank Tone, took 2 cans came out great!

Thanks for the nice comments guys :)

Your Car looks awesome.....especially because that is the same color as my limited. I love having a color other than black. GOOD JOB

cwelk87gn ------- I'll do yours next, but it will cost you. This is the 2nd car I have done. It came out just as good if not better then the first. Pics of the other car I have done, My 87 GN can be found at my website www.buickturboperformance.com under "our cars"

We finally started it up last night & broke the cam in. Ran great nice & quite, great oil pressure. All I have left to do is little minor things (have a couple bulbs out in the tail lights, etc...) & get a front end alignment! Thanks Again Guys it will be on the road soon.......
