Make sure that the Air Inlet door closes when you go to MAX A/C. It should sound like the fan speed increases when the AI door closes. This is the same as Recirc mode on newer cars.

Regals never had a super A/C systems when they were new and ran on R-12. Conversions to R-134A work harder and cool less than R-12 systems.

Anything that increases airflow across the condensor will help lower duct outlet temps. Dual fans will only help during low speed driving or at stoplights.

Go back to original R-12 problem solved.

You should check if your insulation is in tact. Turbos create allot of heat. Maybe you are feeling the residual heat from the turbo and exhaust.

Make sure that the proper amount of 134 is in there. That gas is very sensitive to over/under charging. Hell, Id run the crap from Fred's dep store before using 134. It's RedTek , and I run it in my hooptie 87 Calais, and it hurts my left hand because it is so cold.

I dont agree that g-bodies had bad AC.

Isnt that RedTek stuff potentially flammable?? I think its a mix of propane and butane

Yep, I think so....but nobody seems to actually know for sure. Some guys on the ImpallaSS site think it is. They said it was supposed to be illegal. So, if it is outlawed, its got to be good. It really does work well. It may be rough on the system, dont know if its just as bad as 134 though.
