I found the car when i was looking at homes that are for sale out in Midlothian IL. I went out to the garage and there it was. Story goes it belonged to the owners son and he nuked the head gasket back when he was in highschool, he pushed the car in there, took the hood off and left it.

The first couple of pictures made the car seem questionable, but after a wash, it looks like it is ready to hit the streets. Great find and an unheard of price!

So did you buy the house or did you end up only purchasing the TB?

WOW! NIce! For that price you can convert to an 86-87 setup and still be good! Whats the interior look like? Clean up that garage!:D

Wow!

A rare and archaeological find!

Only a couple towns over from me. You want to make a quick buck pm me.

Surprised the tires still have air! That garage is a disaster. I see the board you got propping the door up. I take it you didn't buy that house, just the car?

Yeah just the buick. The house was in the same shape as the garage;) its really a shame to, that garage could have fit two more buicks it .

The interior is in bad shape. The dash is good but its missing a few thigs, the seats are out of other car and the rear seat is trashed. oddly enough the center consel box lid isnt broken. The drivers window has been down since the car was parked

As for the 86-87 setup i may do that if i decide to keep the car, I have to figure out how much its going to take to get it on the road again first. i already have one car that i have been putting together for the last five years  if i dont keep it ill probaly just get the hotair running again and put it up for sale on the boards and bring it to a few shows

Sweet deal - nice find! Car looks pretty darn good once washed off!
Umm... Two questions - what's with the chain link steering column lock and what the &^%$ was on the back seat that ate the seat fabric??

My buddy did a similar job on my back seat coming home from a chili cook off

The chain was the cars anti theft system ...thats gone now  I have no clue what happened to the rear seat, it isnt burnt and the dark area is stained the material is still soft.. i havent a clue as to what could have done that:confused:

Is that your 00 or 01 Maxima GXE? I used to have a 02 SE and miss it. Great cars for the long open road.

One word: BIOHAZARD! Yuck! Nonetheless, you got one heck of a deal on that car whatever you decide to do with it. I'm jealous!

congrats on the screaming deal.the rear end alone is worth 2 to 3 times what you paid for the car.the back seat looks like it had a battery sitting on it. i bought a gn last year and it looked the same way and the owner told me he had a jumpbox near it/on it and something happened. great find !!!

Great find!

Planning on restoring it?

I bought an 87 GN just today, pretty much the same situation as yours. All though, the engine and transmission is in excellent condition but could use a tune up/spring cleaning:)

I'll post pictures here shortly.

I have a custom 84/85 interior that would look good in that car.
The seats are the light tan / sand color.

Front seats and rears are done in tweed and so are the door panels.
If you are interested, let me know. Ive been sitting on them for tooo long and would let them go cheeeeep plus shipping, or might be in chicago July 28th.

Its all brand new, the car had the motor out and the body was destroyed in a local hail storm.

Havent used these in 4 years... Let me know if you are interested.
