My car doesn't have the W02 RPO code, but it has blacked out trim

As the subject lines says it all. I just noticed this the other day when I looked at the label on the trunk lid and yes the vin number matches the one on the dash! Has anyone else ever seen this? Or could the trim be painted as the car was painted black years ago(original color is charcoal)? I am confused

Same here. I don't understand it either. I consider it divine intervention. I bought mine from the original owner and he said it came that way.

Well I bought mine from the 2nd owner but title was still in original owners name. I see yours is an '86 to! Coincidence? Hmmmm Any others?

Don't ALL 86's come with black trim???

TRIM

ALL 86 T-TYPES AND GN'S CAME WITH BLACK OUT TRIM.
THERE WAS NO OPTION FOR CHROME TRIM THEREFORE THERE WAS NO RPO CODE W02 FOR BLACK OUT TRIM BECAUSE IT CAME STANDARD, AND WAS NOT AN OPTION.
HOWEVER THE T-TYPES DID HAVE CHROME TRIM ON THE MARKER LIGHT'S IN THE HEADLIGHT BEZZELS.
