Seeing all of the pictures of turbo Buicks doing wheel stands and talking to Vince made me feel real comfortable my car is in good hands. He kind of had to kick me out, I didn't want to leave lol. My trans will handle high 9's, now to get the rest of the car there.

Basically this thread is just me sharing my excitement about my billet trans.

Thanks for listening.

Congratulations!
Vince did my trans, too- and he did a great job on it!
I highly recommend his services!

How do you like that cam? I'm wondering if it's close to the 210/215 roller I'm looking at Full Throttle sells.

I think there pretty close. It works really good in my car. Will be taking it to the track this year to find out just how good.

Check with Brian Roman, aka'Quip6' he is running the 210/215 full throttle roller and his car runs great!

My wife lets me do what ever I want with my cars. I have to admit she looked at me kind of funny when I told her how much it cost to have my transmission worked on when it's in perfect working order. It had potential to be a tough sell, but she's a trooper.

I went 9.90s on his basic Stage 1 build several years ago.. Now have gone 9.50s with the billet Stage 3.

Ask Vince who he would recommend to help get you where you wanna go with your goals. He has my card :-)

I'll ask him, but you know, we could skip that step if you pm me your number ;)

Thank you.

I picked up a deep Hughes pan and dropped it off to him, damn that thing is expensive.

I will speak for Brian ( Limited 87 ) He has walked me...step by step...right into the poor house, I mean an awesome build...Hahaha. No, He really has. I now have every component needed to go faster then I ever dreamed...and do it correctly.
He knows his shit.
Vince is super guy too. My car has been to his shop a few times for trans work or convertor changes. Always top service.

I have the deep Hughes pan to. Weld a bung in it for a trans temp gauge...especially if your getting a transbrake. You need to watch the temp.

I was thinking about asking Vice about a trans brake while he's in there. Kind of wondering if he'll honor the warranty on the build if the brake is installed. I guess you would know, does he? I ordered the TA headers too, I'm putting myself in the poor house. My biggest problem is I was trying to build around the turbo. Waiting for a response from Bison. Do I put the TE45A on a shelf until I get the cam and heads and go with something smaller this summer? I don't mind if it's a little laggy on the street, I don't street race. Yea, it would be more fun, but just hunting that 10 second slip.

Oh and Brian has already given me a list of some areas I'm lacking to reach my goal. That's why I've been working 70 hours a week. . .

TCS 3000 LU I just bought it going to run it. I want a non lu but thats what I have at the moment

I dont think that 3000 converter will be enough for the te45a, have you allready run it with that setup?

Not at the track, just put it on. Off the line its a little laggy but when it gets rolling it pulls nice. I have a message out to bison now.
