For a while now i`ve been chase a rich problem on my car....first i had low blm`s 115 or so which lead to raw fuel leaking out of my dump pipe...so this is what i`ve done so far......
1 Had the injectors cleaned by Chuck Leeper which brought my blm back to 130
2 checked the injector harness seemed good
3 used my friends maf, coilpack and ecu from his GN, but still having a rich condition with the car....when i put it in reverse the car shakes and blue smoke exit the tailpipe and you can still smell fuel....i removed plug #4 and it was wet with fuel...what else do i need to check? running out of ideas

If #4 plug is that wet you got to have a dead miss.

Your pretty confident it's gas? The blue smoke would indicate oil.

The diaprham leaks the regulator controls fuel pressure by allowing the flow back to the tank return line if it leaks the vacum from line at the regulator sucks the raw fuel in to that vacum port hence rich motor I have seen them dump gallons of raw fuel into the crank case the blue smoke is from the fuel washing down the cylinder walls fix it as soon as possible and change the oil:rolleyes: Hope this helps!!!!!

Thanks for the help, just changed the oil last friday because of this problem...this is a KB fuel regulator...it says its rebuildable, but wonder if he still rebuilds them?

Pop the vacuum line off the regulator and turn the key on. Does fuel spew out the port?

Spend the 100 bucks and buy a new one.. dont look back.

Is it just #4 plug that is wet? What do the others look like?

Done a compression check lately?

#4 was the only wet one..the other ones are a black color on the tips...i know if its burning correctly it should be a grey color, but this are not....no i havent did a compression test yet..this is a new build with less than 10 miles on the engine....thanks for the help

What do have for a scantool?

All the basics have been set? TPS? IAC? Fuel Pressure? Battery cables tight? Grounds on the back of the head tight? All that good stuff.

If you have access to a hand held vacum pump try pumping it up to about 15-20 inches it should hold rock steady!!! Being this is a fresh rebuild just get your self a new accufab unit!!! Hope this helps!!:D

I`ve got a scanmaster and just got ahold of a direct scan...the grounds are located on my rear intake bolt...tps set at 44, dont remember what the iac was and the fuel pressure is at #37 line off...i will recheck the grounds again and put them on the heads...

The grounds on the intake bolts should be fine. Not any different than the back of the head. Just make sure you have them all tight. Should be 4 lugs total.

The one wet plug is not good. We need to narrow that down. I would swap that injector to another cylinder. If it's a problem with the injector, the spark plug on the cylinder you move it to will be then be the one getting wet. Make sense?

Mike Lee has good advice as well. A hand held vacuum pump is a must have for these cars. If you can verify that the regulator is holding vacuum, there is no reason to just replace. Test, test, test. Don't throw money and parts away.

did the regulator fix it ?

i THINK it was a bad coolant temp.sensor, i replaced it with a used one ....did a quick test drive and everything seems ok, its been parked it the garage every since....might try to get it out this weekend to do more testing after i change the oil again...
