For those intersted, My Grand National will appear on the television show "MY CLASSIC CAR" with Dennis Gage on Feb 19th in the evening. It is the first show of the new season and the segment is about the GMP diecasts and mainly about the new 1/24 scale madel they just released. It was taped in October. They open by showing my GN and talking about the Turbo Buicks in general. They give them a nice intro and talk about how mean they were right from the factory. They then go into the diecast stuff and even used my Buick Garage accesories kit and Buick 2 post lift as props for the segment. It was fun and I was allowed to watch the entire taping. I even educated Dennis and Sam a little about the Tuirbo Buicks. They took extra footage of my car, It will be interesting to see after editing. Show airs on SPEED channel on Thursday Feb 19th in the evening and then re-airs Fri and Sun Mornings following.:D

About damn time!!!! I have been e-mailing that show, dream car garage, HP TV, Hot Rod...and any others I could think of trying to get a show on our cars. The only one I have seen is the two morons changing the alternator or something on a GN that looks like it has 500k miles on it and the engine is covered in oil.

It chaps my ass when Dennis goes up to a peach colored land yaht from the 30's and drools.

I am sure there are some in the audience who like that car but I would wager a TR would be a larger crowd pleaser.

Congrats on the spotlight :-)

Congrats, and keep reminding us!

Congrats!!! Its good to see ANY g-body get any recognition!!
definitly remind us when it airs!!

Good Stuff Man!

Yes, definitely TTT this thread prior to the air date. The Speed channel falls into a weird area on my cable lineup and I never seem to hit that channel when surfing around.

EXCELLENT JOB!!! I spoke to them in person at Carlisle. I had 2 of my GN's there. A turbocharged 82 that was on a special display by invitation of the Miller's running the event. I was in good company as other cars in the display were a Cord, Skyliner, and a Duesenburg valued at over $1 million. My 82 was even on the cover of the program guide that summer. I also had my mint condition bone stock 87 w 5K miles that I was using as a driver since my 82 was not allowed to be moved till after the event was over. I explained the lure the GN's have with the readily available power. How rare the 82 was that they were looking at. How these cars have a following. I got the "thanks but no thanks" deal. When that show aired, they spent more time looking at rusted piles of junk parts than they did looking at cars. At that point, I gave up all hope of them ever mentioning a GN on their show.
Any chance somebody will rip this show segmant to an mpeg so those of us without the speed channel can see the show?

a few years ago motor trend TV did a segment on the GN and GNX. I remember the Gnx owner saying " this ain't no GN, its a GNX!!!!!!"

I remember that. He said something like "different motor"....that is prolly where all the confusion about the GNX having a radically different motor started.

I was thinking more mainstream now. Seems like there are several car shows today that could spend 15 minutes on the TR.

Vendor Defendor: I was "picked" out by Bradley David Productions at a large car show in Indiana. They do My Classic Car, PHR television, Two Guys Garage among others and is co-owned by Gage. They gave me a card and asked me to contact them the next day. I DROVE my car over for the shoot less than a month later. Just a matter of being in the right place at right time. THANKS all! Kent

EXCELLENT!!! Wish I had the channel that his show is on.

Grim Reaper will you copy this for me when my tape arrives
