I just can't win... I was down in Tucson over the weekend to attend my buddy's graduation party. So it's Saturday night about 10 PM, and I was sitting out front with a friend that had gotten sick
Then, while I'm sitting out there, I hear what sounds like firecrackers. A minute later, a car rolls by the front of my friends house, and I hear the sound again, but this time I hear the casings hitting the ground. Well, at this point, I know it's a gun, but I hadn't seen a muzzle flash. I assumed that the shots were either fired in the air, or more likely at the house across the street where I just so happened to have seen someone dealing drugs earlier in the day.
Being a little under the influence of alcohol
I wait for the car to get down the street and start looking for the casings. Of course it was dark, so I didn't have any luck...
Well, the next morning, I find a 9mm casing in the street, and I realize that there definitely had been someone shooting a gun off. So I go to breakfast, and when we are getting in the car to go back to my friend's, I see a bullet hole in the driver's car. Well, now I'm starting to worry about my car... So we hurry home, and sure enough... one hole in the driver's rear quarter!!!
I later found out that another one of my friends who had come down to Tucson for the party also had a hole in her car. So, all three of the cars that drove down from Phoenix were shot!!! Turns out someone down the street got three shots in their truck, too.
Damn want to be gangsters! Good thing they only had a 9mm, so it only went through the sheet metal and didn't make it into the fuel tank or into the interior. As far as I can tell, the round pretty much disintegrated after making it through the inner sheet metal.
Nothing like owning a car for 6 months to have some losers drive by and shoot it
