Ok guys, I have now heard it all. Just off my Bro's crank to have turn to make it right this time. The head guy said you have a strong crank. I said I hope so because I will be testing that soon. He said it will handle 350 with no problem. I said that we will be making more than 500. And he said no, no you won't. He builds them and none of them ever made more than that.


So know tell me the kind of weak power you think it will make.

He said he has never had one on his dyno making more than 500 ever. I wonder if knows that they only make power with the turbo? Because its hard to make power with the turbo on the bench.

He is correct.

If you run 15 PSI you should not expect 500 hp.

the cranks will handle 500 hp for a while then break at the #3 main jurnal. depends on how much you race the car? this is the common place for the stock cranks to break. although alot of people havent broken the crank but some have.

The stock crank has been to 800hp. The one in my sig is at an easy 550hp. Just the way GM put in in the engine:tongue: . Tell that builder to come on here and see how fast these cars really are. You are at 300hp when your car is going 102-103mph in the quarter. You can easily make 650hp with that combo if the tune is good. If you dont detonate it it wont break at those levels. There are guys on here with hundreds of 600+hp 130+mph passes on stock cranks. What a jack a$$!
