I get home from work today and as I step in the house my I get a call from my neighbor telling me his wife is in front of the house scared because she noticed the door was kicked in. Even though she called the cops to report I went to see if she was ok. We waited a few minutes and the police show up, these guys or whoever it was took everything. My wife was home today but she didnt hear or see anything out of the ordinary. These guys must have had it all planned out, and they were probably the ones that robbed the house behind mine a few weeks prior, and the incident I had leads me to beleive its the same SOB. Im beyond pissed at this point these fuckers are asking to get blasted and better not show themselves on my property.

I'm home 24x7 since I work from here. Had a mom looking for her kid who was 2 houses down with one of the neighbor kids(I know cuz I heard and saw both these kids running through my front yard and the 2 college girls they were heading towards were in bikinis had jetskis), yesterday the non-neighbor mom decides to enter my fence and managed to get to my open garage door. Guard dog was on the other side of the property doing who knows what so he didn't bark. Even if you are home they can get pretty far. And I'm a mofo with a remington 1100 tac 4 ready to go at all times... Since I've got my own static IP servers in house, I'm going to add cloud based video backup cameras as well as better fence protection and a new dog.

Ill more than likely get a taller fence for the new year. I just want this crap to stop but its out of my hands and hopefully someone gets these bastards before i do. My neighbors little dog looked so spooked it was not even funny.

One of those nasty tricks you can do is an electric fence charger. If you've got a wood fence put the wire just below the top so when they start to go over they'll get the crap shocked out of them. Make sure to get one that will cover 50 miles of wire (200 acres) and it will burn them. We've got goats so they're a little hard headed but the charger changes their minds every time. It's also on 27 acres so it will burn grass that gets up to high.

I can just see the drool they get when they walk by and see the Regal in the driveway and thats just the N/A one thats cloned, I can just imagine when my 84 is done they are literally gonna try to get to it, but by then my fence should be up and my dogs will be able to run as they want around the yard. It doesnt help when everybody in the neighborhood start to sell their homes to people that rent them out to thugs and hooligans, but I guess we all have to deal with this in one way or another.

That's exactly why I made the move to the country, some 6 yrs ago. Old hood was NICE until about 2000. Then the homes were getting some age, folks were dumping them for rentals. The 1 next to me was a section 8. Was downhill from there...
Once I found myself packing, just to go to the shop, I said screw this....
I drove by there last week.....SHYTHOLE city!

This used to be a nice quiet crime free neighborhood but we've had cars being broke into for a couple of years now and in the last six months three houses had their doors kicked in and the places robbed.
Well last week they kicked in a door at noon on Saturday and one got shot by the home owner. Pretty brazen to do this on weekends but then I'm betting they had been casing the place and were sure it was empty. Bands of teenagers/20 somethings walking the streets after midnight for the last few years and the cops are nowhere to be found. Can't leave anything visible in a car or in the yard.

My house goes up for sale after the holidays and we're moving to the country with 10 acres and dogs. I'm going to cash out some stuff with the interest rates so low plus the equity in the house and pay cash. No more mortgage so I will just sit back and watch the next few years unfold. With a little research I found a couple of great areas with good people around to buy into and that's what I'm planning.

I hear some talking about moving to the country, thats something I have always talked to my wife about, but with the current value of homes dropping more than 50% and the economy, its just not going to happen at this point in time. I have my mother 2 houses away, brother across the street, my sister in law behind my house on right,and currently trying to get another relative to rent the home they just sold behind my home, thank god I have no alleyway behind my home, since that seems to be the easiest way for theives to get away with all your belongings. Ill definately be looking into the countryside some time in the future, my wife wont go crazy and start to whine about all the cars I have in the driveway, because theyll be in a big barn, that would be cool. What an imagination I have.LOL

My plans exactly. Move to the countryside where folks care more about their community and neighbors before themselves. Cities and suburbs are really deteriorating due to the ever expanding "its all about me" mentality.

I'm in agreement. My area was nice and peaceful. Not saying it is deteriorating but I am noticing some activity lately. Rude Dog best of luck with everything. Hope you and your family stay safe.
