I've decided to take on the challenge of a frame off build up on a GN.

I'm looking to build it up as close to stock as I possibly can. So that means I am going to need to know some of the colors for it.

Exterior will be black. Interior....as I seem to recall the dash is grey, and the upper half of the door panel is grey with the lower half being black. And I also seem to recall the carpet is black. I also seem to recall the console is also grey.

Now about the kick panels, are they black or grey?

And I seem to recall the seats are black and grey, correct? Although I can't seem to rember if the outter edges were black and the center is grey, or if it's vice cersa?

What about the seat backs? Are they black or grey?

And what was the stock color of the engine block?

I had one of those. Never finished it, then threw it away to work on the real one. Better undercoat it now, you know how these cars are:rolleyes:

I've got a couple of those. I can donate one of the turbos off of one so you can make a twin turbo one like my T-Type.:)

Make sure you use model paint on it. I have melted a few things with auto paint:)

Yup, had one of those back in the day. Ended up selling it for more than I paid for it. It was a good investment..... Now looking for another one to restore, darn thing are getting rare and hard to find:wink:

Seats and door panels are almost done....

is that some type of aftermarket oil fill tube? that thing looks huge. what kind is it? I think I need one.

Good luck, not sure if my eyes are that good anymore hahahahaha. I have 2 of them kits and 6 68 firebird kits here that I am going to do one day lol. Will probley sell them off if things don't get better around here.

You forgot to paint Concert Sound II on the speaker grills on the door panels.
J/K looks great so far.

if they were 67 firebirds I would take one.

Um, don't ya just hafta file the marker lights off? I bet Modelhaus has interior tub/seats with correct pattern on them.

Great work on the GN!!!!:D I'd like one. But it'd sit with the other hundred or so not getting built yet either.:frown: I tell myself that if my hands still work in retirement, I'll get to em...

To be a real Gn it has to have oil leak stains somewhere...the fins/heat sinks on the valve cover work well for that!

Man if that's what u want, there's as much availability in scale as there is 1:1. Seems All the super details that had to be scracth built are now available for some scratch. With a little looking you could make that 67 u want from the base 68 kit.

If you go to some of the bigger hobby stores you find the ground up felt or fome that you can use on the seats to give them the plush look.gutar sting works for brake lines and dont forget to put the plug wires.

Yeah I think I'll pass. That's the ones ghetto Wal Mart used to sell to all the hood rats.

Not bad......... man I havent done a plastic car in a while............ usually mess with diecasts.
