Ineed advice I bought an orange stripe conv. for my 87 Gn And it seems like it is slower with the new conv. Does any one have any advice or resolve for this problem My car has a 44, thdp, 009,powerplate,walbro307m,and some of the other mods to go fast but thats my turbo set up ,also i have stock heads,Send help please??????

first thing to do is make sure the engine is running 100 percent on all 6 ,IE STATE OF TUNE,check/inspect clogged fuel filter, air filter ,catalytic convertor ,coil pack ,plugs wires ,sensors, turbo plumbing, exhaust opened up ,defective waste gate.if all is ok do a stall test and see what the maximum attainable rpm the engine will reach in drive with the brake all the way to the floor(car stationary)and the gas pedal all the wat to the rug.if the car pulls through the brakes check rear adjustment and tire condition ,and go for a ride with boost cranked up.still unhappy call the convertor company and explain to them what your situation is and ask for a restall,if its possible.www.ckperformance.com

Thanks chris I have my turned up to 17lbs that should be plenty of boost?

I never really like my orange stripe either. I'm trying to save up for a 9/11 from good ole Bruce.

They have a web site. I have an orange stripe in my car(out now) It works well w/stk turbo. 1.75 60ft w/1psi launch on DR's(pulled 1.85 w/8psi launch on M&H's w/stk conv) but the lock up clutch gave up after 20k-locked up good but slipped @4psi.
