I was told too, that it was a TACH add on...cool place for a plug, now try and find a compatible TACH...I am not sure of the ground tho!

black goes to ground
red goes to a 12 volt source
yellow is usually the gage bulb that goes to a 12 volt source
GREEN goes to the factory green connector near coil pack
