I am going to give you the lead up to this video. You have to see this but you need the story.

About a month ago my neighbor had a baby squirrel fall out of his tree and the mother squirrel picked it up and took the baby back to the nest.
A week later the squirrel falls out of the tree again only this time it landed on the concrete driveway. Some friends of ours rehab injured wild animals so they take it an nurse it back into shape.

A month goes by and the squirrel seems to be all healed up so we decide to release the squirrel back in the tree it fell out of. Now click on the link and watch what happened. Sorry for the poor video skills.

haha!, poor lil guy/girl. Just doesn't do well with "squirel" type stuff.

Well, it did survive and seemed fine about 5 minutes later. We decided to let it try again. We put it back on the tree and climbed up the tree out of sight which is about 20 feet up and it fell again:eek:. Don't worry it survived that one too. We didn't let it try again so our friends took it back and they are going to take it to the vet. Haven't heard anything since.

If you listen close enough you can hear it bounce off of the limb and then splat on the concrete. I think it wasn't cut out to be a squirrel. Either that or it thinks its a flying squirrel. It has fell from that same tree 4 times. If you think about it, a squirrel that can't climb tree's is like a fish that can't swim. It may be mean but it is sooooo funny when it falls. I'm sorry but I find it funny. Does that make me a sick person?

Psychopath is how it is spelled! Trust me I just checked my prescription bottle to be sure!

On a serious note I think the squirrel is having seizures as it climbs. It does fine for a while then just let's go of the tree. Just not meant to be a squirrel I guess. The poor thing has fell on the grass side twice and on the concrete twice and still wants to climb the tree. I will give him an A for effort and determination but an I for incomplete assignment.

thank you for the correction, i wasnt sure of it., the little guy could suffer from vertigo, maybe the 1st fall from when he was a baby damaged his motor skills, or like the last poster stated, his nuts could be too heavy dragging him down.. lol

I would dig that little guy a burrow + teach him to be a ground squirrel before he kills himself.
He is obviously squirrelly challenged.
