 I need 3 Upper plenum gaskets (Installing a Phanalic spacer and P-Plate) and I have been to 4 auto parts stores near me (Dearborn Hghts Mi) and not a one of them has them (Or they are just to dumb to be of any help )
Anyone know where I can pick these up or P/N for auto zone or some place I can just give the dumbo  behind the counter and get them??
Thanks

I checked Fel-Pro, don't see that one listed individually. GM part #24502089 if it's any help. Looks to be an easy one to cut from sheet gasket material if need be.

Try calling RJC, they supply new gaskets with the power plates. They might sell them on the side.

Turbo T/A 1543 thanks for the GM P/N I should be able to have it crossed over to a working # at one of the auto stores ;)
Or so I hope :)

Huh, I've done it about 100 times and its never been a problem. Then again, some people use rtv like the more they use the faster the car goes.

Also how does it hurt sensors in that area?

Very bad idea there to many sensors to mess with and if you have to take the thing apart what a pain in the A$$!!!

RTV is sensor safe these days.

Still a Pain in the A$$ to clean if you take it apart at the track am I not right??
No buick dealer stocks these any more just so eveyone knows :(
I guess Ill call Mike tomorrow at full throttle and get them
Hate the shipping big time!
Thanks guys for all your help ;)

turbosam6 Would you want this getting to a PCV valve or IAC?? It is posible I have seen this crap get into so many things when I was a mechanic for 7 years. Great for rear ends and valve covers but not for intake tracks such as this. I due not use it on anything if at all posible :)

He needed a plenum gasket. The IAC is in the throttle body, before the plenum. On my car anyway, the air is pretty much always going into the motor, not vice versa. Also, when used properly, it should not come off. I use a very small amount, like you're supposed to. I've never had a problem and I know many others do this as well with no problems.

If you're using RTV and its getting stuck in the PCV or IAC, first off stop using so much, second off figure out why air is going backwards out of your engine.

Also, on plenums RTV is better as the gasket often becomes soaked in oil (from the PCV) and begins leaking. RTV is oil resistant. I don't have a PCV so I don't worry about it, but I've had friends cars I've worked on with that vacuum leak from the gasket failing.
