Combo is:
ported heads / intake
CAS V2
Hemco upper, 65mm tb
69-1 4 bolt turbo
DFI / 72# inj
Vigilante "6" stall convertor (3200-3500)

Reliability is a major concern, don't want excessive ramp speeds.
The torque tech SP68 was recommended to me, however it is no longer in production. I am not trying to squeeze every tenth out of it, it's just a fun street driven car on drag radials, so I would like it to run about 3000-6000 rpms (takes a bit for the 69 to spool, which is what I want on the street, don't like blowing the tires off on the line).

TIA
Kevin

Similar combo on a couple local cars use a 214/210 with great results. This is a hydraulic roller which would fit your need to go up to 6000 RPM.

Thanks Nick. I do like the looks of a roller ;) but I would also like know if you or anyone else has a flat tappet recomendation as well?

Perhaps a 218/218 flat tappet cam (Race Jace has run 9.96 @133mph with this cam if my memory serves me correct). I think if "Reliability is a major concern," like you say a billet roller cam would be your best choice and there are plenty of roller cam grinds that could get the job done like the ATR 214/210 billet roller cam that Nick mentioned and I know a lot of guys that like the PTE 210/210 billet roller (will easily go to 6000 rpm).

I've got the ATR 214/210 hydraulic roller and love it. Especially with the higher stall converter... I run the PT-72 turbo with a 3600 stall non-lock and the turbo lag is just about perfect. The car just get's going before the boost kicks in and right around the power range of the cam. Idles like stock, and quiet and pretty easy to install. And best quality is NO WIPED LOBES!!! :D
