what converter do i need with a TE60 turbo, stock block, cam. 42#'s. I had a smaller turbonetics cheetah and i pulled harder off the line. Took the car to track best was 13.7 @103.with a slow 2.30 60ft. would not boost fast enough or something. leaving on 5# footbreak off the line?car was having problem changing gears in 3rd also or my tranny gone. drove the car home 450 miles still running ok, feels strong.found some tranny fluid on the ground the next day??

te 60

I had a 3500 stall with my te 60.I had a .82 exhaust housing and went 11.0s
@ 122 with 42# injs.My car was a dog with the stock conv.If you have a ..63 housing I would go with around a 3200.I would think you would get INSTANT spool...............

With a stock cam I'd run no more than a 2800 stall 10" converter. Anything looser will feel too loose in 3rd gear.

the car felt real strong on top end at the track. just my launch. i had also installed a 3 inch front mount intercooler at the same time i installed the turbo . would that of done anything. what if i plan on installing a higher cam later, what coverter would work better.

If you stick with a turbo in the 60mm to 6262 range the 2800 stall will be fine. A larger cam and proper valve spring to get the rpm limit into the 5600-5800 area will only help even more.
