Need advice, where do I place a Cat?

I decided that I need to put a Cat back on my car. Going to work smelling like I just mowed the lawn doesn't work.

My question is where do I put it?
Right after the down pipe or do I need two?

Which brand do you prefer?
I have a 3 inch down pipe and 3 inch exhaust.

one at end of down pipe is how it was factory , for visual thats where it needs to be

you can get a 3" cat that has the flange to bolt to the catback exhaust
just need to measure from that four bolt flange to the end of the test pipe to get a cat that will fit as downpipes come in differing lengths

the kirban style uses an 18" and the terry houston styles could be anywhere from 12-15"
