I dont care what your set up is, as long as it's for E85 and actually runs, I can change the rest to make it work in my car. I've spent so much time trying to get this damn car to run on the 2.010 and have just about freakin had it. If I dont get it soon, I'm getting rid of the XFI and running a Holley set up. I really just need the VE table and Timing table. My car runs super rich under any kind of load and I have no way to drive and tune at the same time so I've been trying to change things based off the logs and havent been successful. I'd like to get the car running decent before I do my next few upgrades and once I have everything the way I want, I plan to have the car professionally tuned. BUT, I only have the car good enough to drive, barely. Cant put any load on the motor at all and things drop to 5:1 A/F. If you could help me, it would be great. Thanks. -----Jeremy

why not just spend the $50 and upgrade your unit to the 2.0. that way you can drive it and let the xfi dial in you ve table for you. your ve table and timing table will be different then mine vs anyone elses. if somrone else gives you their tune you l just be chasing you tail. I would think your timing table would be ok depending on who did the orignal startup for you

It's already upgraded to 2.010. It ran great on 1.340 but once it was upgraded, I cant get it to run.

did you populate the tables that are not populated once you upgrade to the 2.0?

who configured the system once you did the upgrade?

Cal did the change over for me and sent me the file. I loaded it and have been playing with it ever since. There's a 9 page right up in the Performance ECM section.

I'm comparing the old Ve Table to my new VE table and they are not common at all. I did have to do some adjusting when I initially started with the 1.340 but not much, mainly just to get it to idle. I need to referrence a known good VE and timing table to referrence what I have, or just try to load it and see if it works in my car.

Without having the tune known good, I'm having a hard time trying to chase other possible problems down. It's been a major road block this entire year.

did you contact cal? he will be able to figure it out im sure

do u still have the base tune cal sent before you tweaked it? load that one

Yes, I'm thankful to have had Cal on the phone quite a bit through this battle. I've tried to go back to initial tune, still no dice. It is getting better little by little but is far from where the car used to be and I really cant get into any postivie MAP at all.

All I really did was send you a start up tune. I know I haven't helped much since then. After watching the thread, I figured you had enough help. Your issues are with the tune. There is a LOT more to a tune then just the VE Table and Spark Table. I will be in KC, MO in a week and a half and in Nebraska in January. If either of these locations are close to you, I can see if we have a tuning spot for you. I will still cut you a deal even though you aren't one of our customers.

The only recent log is bad because the car would go fat and I'd have to let out of it. But, here it is.

Thanks for that Cal. I'll get with you on that. I really want to have this car running somewhat decent before I have you get into it so I dont have to do it twice. At least thats my goal. I need to upgrade the fuel system yet and figure out my boost control before I can put some real numbers down. At this point, I'm just trying to get it to the point where I can rule out the tune and fine tune the mechanicals, get some seat time, then have you actually tune the car.

I can get it close enough, that you can touch it up once you upgrade the fuel system. I tuned 3 cars in Pheonix last weekend that were on E-85 and out of fuel. We were able to get the startup, tip in, drivability, and low boost sorted out. The higher boost is close enough that the learning will get you the rest of the way. WOT tuning is real easy to sort out.

See I would think it would much more sensitive at higher boost levels becuase of the higher risk of failure. How long does it have to stay in one cell in order for it to self adjust? Rigth now, my car is running on stock line with a single Walboro so it's not even going to be close to where the car could be with adequate fuel.

Do you think I should try to use my VE table and timing table directly from the old tune? The new tune is quite rich compared to the old, and the old ran rich too but not bad enough that the car wouldnt run.
